Welcome to Spanish For Fun Academy, a Spanish immersio
n pre-school and childcare program.
We are a six weeks to five years music, physical education, an early stimulation program.
Also Spanish for Fun Academy is an "inclusive" facility in all our age groups. This give us the chance to provide iqual opportunities to all children, so they can access the quality education they deserve.
We are commited to your children learning Spanish at the same time they develop their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
Our Spanish immersion environment will allow your children learn a language in a natural way while playing surrounded by intense verbal interaction with teachers.
Our goal is to provide all of the children a clean, safe, comfortable, loving, home-like environment, where they can play and learn.
We believe in the importance of acquiring a second language and that the easiest way to do so is during the first years of childhood.
Teacher involvement is important to us. Our teachers do not merely supervise; they are involved in the children's structured and unstructured play to facilitate absorption of the Spanish language.,

Shape NC
SHAPE NC is a program sponsored by Orange County Partnership for Young Children and Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation, to address children obesity in Orange County and to promote healthy nutrition and physical activity in children. It is focused on day care centers, to guide them in changing policies, practices and environment to increase physical activity and healthy eating. SFFA is one of the few centers in NC chosen to participate in the first phase.
Since we began our participation in SHAPE NC we have revised the center nutrition policy and menus to assure healthy nutrition practices, started the redesigning of the playground to encorage children movement and physical activity, and offered nutrition and physical activities workshops to the staff and parents.
The North Carolina Prekindergarten Program provides high quality educatinal experiences to income elegible four years olds, in order to enhace their KIndergarten readiness
The Nutrition and Physical Activity Self-Assessment for Child Care program is a research-tested intervention designed to enhance policies, practices, and environments in child Care Centers, by improving the nutritional quality and quantity of food served, as well as the quality of physical activities, among other things enhancing the Staff interaction, and/or action
The goals are: Improve the Organizational -Self-assessment, the Continuing Education for Day Care Providers, the Skill Building Activities, and the Technical Assistance.
We are proud in Spanish for Fun Academy to be part of this project participating in this assesment frecuently to asure we keep a healthy and active enviroment.
